Acquisitions

Introduction

The Acquisitions tab provides an overview of all the acquisitions and acquisition files within a given session. The data is in chronological order of the time the data was acquired. Each acquisition can have multiple files associated with it. Typically, these are different file formats of the same underlying data.

Classifications

Flywheel determines the classification by using information from the DICOM header, such as the "SessionDescription" field. It parses the values of those fields for keywords and character strings to select the best classification.

Data Origin

The icons next to each file represent the data's origin and whether it came from a device, was manually uploaded, or was produced by a gear. By hovering over the icon next to each file, where it came from, file size, file name, and the name and time any gear was run on that file.

View and Edit File Metadata

To view additional metadata about a given file, click the options menu add_ons_options_menu.png, then select Information.

The metadata in the file information is NOT necessarily what's in a file's header information. When running the MR Classifier gear on DICOM data, this header information is pulled from the file and copied into Flywheel's metadata.

This metadata is editable by the user, but editing it does not edit the file or its header itself.
