Upload Files

Introduction

You can manually upload files to a project, subject, session, or acquisition in Flywheel. This allows you to add resources for your project as well manually create new sessions and acquisitions.

Instruction Steps

No De-identification

The methods in this article do not de-identify data. If you need to de-id images, use the DICOM web uploader or the command-line Interface (CLI).

Create New Session

  1. Sign in to Flywheel.
  2. Click Sessions.
  3. Select the Actions menu.

Creating New Session

  1. Choose Create New Session.
  2. Select a Project for the new Session and complete the Timestamp, Session Label, and Subject ID fields to properly create the session.

Create New Acquisition

  1. Sign in to Flywheel.
  2. Select Sessions.
  3. Choose a Session.

You can filter and sort Sessions using the Timestamp and Project headers at the top of the list. You click can also click SubjectViewButton.pngSubject View to organize Sessions by subject.

  1. Select the Acquisitions tab for that Session.
  2. Click Create New Acquisition if there are no Acquisitions for that Session.
  3. If there are already Acquisitions under the session, select the options menu

  1. Choose Create New Acquisition
  2. Add a description and time stamp. Upload the data by dragging files to the drop target or by clicking anywhere on the drop target to launch the file selector.

Creating New Acq

  1. For each file, you can manually set the filetype or choose Detect Type Automatically to allow Flywheel to automatically classify the file.
  2. Click Upload.

Upload Files to an Existing Acquisition

  1. Sign in to Flywheel.
  2. Select Sessions.
  3. Choose a Session.

You can filter and sort Sessions using the Timestamp and Project headers at the top of the list. You click can also click SubjectViewButton.pngSubject View to organize Sessions by subject.

  1. Select the Acquisitions tab for that Session.

  2. Select the options menu

  1. Choose Upload to an Existing Acquisition.

A list of all Acquisitions for the selected Session appears.

  1. Choose an Acquisition.
  2. Upload the data by dragging files to the drop target or by clicking anywhere on the drop target to launch the file selector.
  3. For each file, you can manually set the filetype or choose Detect Type Automatically to allow Flywheel to automatically classify the file.
  4. Click Upload.
