Flywheel can store instrument data, workflow data, and expanded metadata.
Instrument Data – The data management tools organize a wide variety of MRI data, including raw data, DICOM files, and NIfTI files. The MRI data management tools are aware of various types of auxiliary files, such as bvec and bval files in diffusion scans, and physiological data that accompany fMRI acquisitions.
Workflow Data – Flywheel lets you include a variety of files that describe the projects, sessions and data analyses. Users can upload files of any type, including software analysis scripts, and they can create notes and tags to annotate sessions. We have built-in viewers for common file formats such as JPG/GIF/PNG, PDF, and CSV. Additional viewers can be integrated upon request.
Expanded Metadata – The user can include custom metadata that describes subject information. For example, some users add behavioral test measurements and genetic information.
