You can manually upload files to a project, subject, session, or acquisition in Flywheel. This allows you to add resources for your project as well manually create new sessions and acquisitions.
If you're looking to import large numbers of files and images, see our Command Line Interface for bulk uploading.
Create New Session – To create a new Session, navigate to the Sessions page, found under the Data section of the blue Flywheel sidebar on the left side of the page. Select Create New Session from the action menu located on the top left side of the page. Then, indicate which Project the Session belongs to and complete the Timestamp, Session Label, and Subject ID fields to properly create the session. This is a necessary first step to uploading data to Flywheel.
Upload File or Create New Acquisition – To upload a file or create a new Acquisition, use the list of Sessions found on the left side of the Sessions page to select the Session to which you want to add the data. With the correct Session selected, navigate to the Data tab on the right side of the screen, then click the accordion menu found in the upper right side of the page. From the menu, select Create New Acquisition - Upload Data.
Choose whether to upload a file to an existing Acquisition or to create a new Acquisition, add a description and time stamp, then upload the data by dragging files to the drop target or by clicking anywhere on the drop target to launch the file selector. Finish by clicking the Upload button.
