Flywheel has discovered and confirmed an issue in how earlier versions of the Flywheel CLI process and upload DICOM files. We have observed isolated database inconsistencies when the same files are uploaded multiple times. While these inconsistencies are fully recoverable, we have decided to deprecate affected versions of the CLI and SDKs.
We will be upgrading your Flywheel site to v11. This release includes updated versions of the Flywheel CLI, Python SDK, and Matlab SDK. Install these newer versions as soon as possible because older versions will be disabled with the release of Flywheel version v12. Your site may be upgraded to v12 in as little as 2 weeks after you are upgraded to v11.
Users attempting to log into Flywheel v12 or greater with a version of the CLI less than v11 will receive an error.
Users attempting to communicate with their Flywheel site v12 with an SDK version prior to v11 will be rejected.
These instances of Flywheel tools will be allowed to communicate to Flywheel without upgrading to v11:
-
SDK installations in gears
-
CLI installations using a device API key
Customers will need to upgrade their CLI and SDK installs to v11 before their Flywheel site is upgraded to v12.
Flywheel support and scientific solutions teams are available to consult and assist with any of these activities. Please reach out to support@flywheel.io.
