Removal of the BrainBrowser and EEG Viewers

Change Details

With Flywheel version 20.3.0, two integrated web viewers will not be included, and not available for use within the Flywheel Web UI. This is due to those viewers being incompatible with application security changes.

BrainBrowser Viewer

  • Flywheel does plan to update and reintroduce this integrated viewer in time for the 20.5.0 release
  • This viewer supports the visualization of brain surface objects in .obj files.
  • If the availability of this viewer is critical to your workflow, and you require your Flywheel site not to be upgraded to a version without it included, please contact Flywheel Support.

BrainBrowser Viewer UI

EEG Viewer

  • Flywheel does not plan at this time to update or reintroduce this viewer in a later release of Flywheel.
  • This viewer provided limited support for the visualization of waveforms in Brain Vision EEG data.
  • If you make use of this viewer and find it valuable, please contact Flywheel Support.
