Deprecation of Legacy Viewer

We are ending our support for the Legacy Viewer starting in the 20.0 release of Flywheel Core.

As part of a site upgrade to version 20.0 or later, the Legacy Viewer will no longer be offered as an application to open any image file.

We understand that the Legacy viewer might still be used by some customers, mainly in situations where images are not indexed for the V2 viewer. This should be addressed with the V3 viewer where pre-indexing is no longer a requirement and we invite users to try the V3 viewer instead. The V3 viewer is available as a secondary viewer starting in 19.3 or later and already supports a wide range of modalities.

If you experience some issues viewing images without the Legacy viewer, please contact support and we will work with you on a resolution.
