Saving Draft Tasks

Overview

Draft functionality allows you to save your work in progress and return later to complete a task. When you save a draft, all form responses and annotations are preserved, allowing you to resume exactly where you left off.

How to save a draft

To save a draft, click on the Save Draft button at the bottom of the form panel. Upon saving the following happen:

  • A notification is displayed at the bottom of the page to confirm that a draft has been saved.
  • The task status is updated to "In Progress" the first time a draft gets saved.
  • Any existing annotation also gets saved as an overlay for the corresponding images in the left-side panel.
  • The "Save Draft" button gets disabled until further edits are made (to the form or to annotations).

Once a draft has been saved, the task can be closed by closing the browser tab.

Reopen a task with a saved draft

To re-open a task that was saved:

  1. Navigate to your task list and identify the saved task that you would like to open by looking for tasks with the status "In Progress".
  2. Open the task in the viewer. Upon launching the viewer, the task form is restored with the answers that were populated when the task was saved.

  5. Resume working on your task. Form answers can be edited. Existing measurements can be edited, and new measurements can be created.
